The 23rd Annual OHAAA Conference will be hosted at Miami University (Middletown Campus) on Monday, July 8, 2019. This best-value event for professional development provides an excellent opportunity for ideas and presenting the excellent work taking place across college campuses across the state of Ohio. The theme this year will be "Oasis of Advising" with guest speaker Dr. Deb Hendricks from Bowling Green State University. 

Dr. Deborah Hendricks completed the Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies program from Bowling Green State University. She conducted research on the impact of mindfulness training and use of the 10% Happier phone app among advisors. She serves as an academic advisor and is a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE). In addition, she has presented on the topic of mindfulness at regional and national levels. Deborah developed a mindfulness course for first-year college students and professional development curriculum (MindfulnessPD) for employees as part of a workplace wellness program.
